Just wanted to update my lil blog here.
-Mom is home, out of the hospital and doing better than she has in a LONG time. This is after a visit to ICU and 1.5 weeks in the hospital. It was a ROUGH time, I am NOT going to lie. Glad she is better and sounding more and more like herself everyday.
-My weight is not my fav subject right now. I need ketosis, and I need it quick. Today, I am doing well. Meal planning and workouts are in my future. Here is my menu for today:
B-1/2 HB egg & rasberry greek yogurt
L-Leftover wings (4)
S-Cashews (about 2 oz spread out over the day)
D-I am thinking chicken stir fry. I need to use it up
Exercise: Jillian Michaels 30 day shred or Zumba
I need to refocus and lose at least 26lbs to reach my goal. I will reevaluate after I get there. I think losing 26lbs in the next 3 months is doable. I tend to lose very quickly with low carbing/ketosis so I can probably lose quite a bit this week if I stay committed.
-Finances-weight loss/finances seem to go hand and hand with me. When I am willy nilly with my eating, I am usually eating out ($$$$) and wasting groceries and not paying as much attention to my diet as I should. I shudder to think how much $ is wasted on eating out/fast food/convenience food. I am going to try my darndest to stick to meal planning/eating at home/eating out as a TREAT not an expectation. I think part of my problem is being a single parent. I have no one there to say, no lets not waste $ eating out. My grocery budget for July will be $250 ($62.50 per week for a family of 3).I haven't been couponing lately. I let my newspaper sub go (on accident) :( and I am not use to remembering to buy them anymore. I have, however been shopping at Aldi. If you don't shop at Aldi you are missing out! They have the BEST deals on produce, milk, nuts and many other items. I think I may start blogging about that actually.
I plan on buying the bulk of our groceries there, with the exception of meat. I will probably shop Crest/Sams for that. My youngest son decided he wants to start eating healthier and I think this will help me and him :)
I am also trying to find ways that I can cut down on expenses without feeling like we can't ever do anything fun. For instance-cutting our cable package down, cancelling our gym membership, not going to the nail salon (tear), making coffee at home instead of going to Starbucks, etc.
-Blogging-I have never really decided what direction this blog should take, (the name ADD should be a clue that I am all over the place lol) but I would like to start focusing more on budgeting/weight loss. Not to say that other things won't be discussed because they certainly will.
-Nails Along with the finances, I am TRYING to cut down on silly things like the nail salon :( sad face. It's the one thing that makes me SUPER happy. I am just telling myself it's not forever, just until I can get my finances under control. I am checking into getting the shellac system at home. Will report back if I do :)
That's about it for now, will check in again soon :)

Not.even.a.month....
I'm pretty proud of myself for updating my blog so soon..LOL Hey, it's only been 3 weeks :)
I stepped on the scale today and WOW! I need to step on that puppy a tad more frequently. I saw a number that I haven't seen since like Sept/Oct last year....So, I am recommitted to weighing daily. It makes a big difference in my outlook and food choices.
Will be working out tonight, did not go last night :( too busy watching the OKC Thunder beat the Spurs! (WOOT!!!!!!)
Right now, my goals are to get my weight under control. I know alot of my gain is water, so today I am chugging + taking green tea. I HAVE to get this under control, I do not want to gain weight and would like to reach my goal this year! I would like to see 172 (my low) by my 10 year olds birthday (7/11)-his bday party will actually be 7/7/12, so if I could get to that goal it would be fantastic since it's a pool party! That means, I need to lose 14lbs. I know that sounds like a lofty goal, but I KNOW that I will be back to 179 in NO time (I was stuck there forever) and that additional 7 will be my main goal.
I also ordered P90 dvds, hopefully they will be here soon. I hear that you should start out here first before venturing into P90X. I want to get rid of the muffin top, flabby arms and upper thighs like YESTERDAY. I am going to buy a cheap (gasp!) bikini for some "before pics". I am inspired by so many of those, I may even post them here (shudder!!!) we will see. :)

Seriously!?
I am just awful at this blogging thing. I haven't updated in SIX long months? How the h did that happen? Oh, quite easily actually...just hear me out.
So....March 6th, my mom had RNY surgery (weight loss surgery for those who don't know). It has been a battle ever since basically. She developed a marginal ulcer that had to be removed 2 days ago. Basically, the doc had to redo her RNY and remove the ulcer. It was a hot mess. Several trips to the ER, being admitted twice (before this time!), lots of throwing up and pain (that honestly should not have happened! It really hacks me off actually) I am not a happy camper as it has been hard on all of us. I will always be there for my mom, but juggling hospital trips, work, kids sports, and school has been a challenge to say the least. I hope we are on the down hill slide to healthy and happy! :) I am praying for her healing and all of our sanity!
Me, I haven't lost any weight that I know of. I am just maintaining these days. Doc put me on Lexapro and I guess SSRI's have a tendancy to stall weight loss and or cause weight gain. Yay. It's a toss up: be happy and chunky or rude and skinny. I will let you know which one I choose after I go back for a follow up next month. I honestly don't know if I would be getting through these stressful times without it though! I just don't know how much longer I want to be on it.
I have been reading up on Paleo and I really love the idea of it. So, that is something I am working my way into. I am considering dropping my Y membership but everytime I think about it, I change my mind. It's $45 per month and now that I have a car payment, every little bit counts.
After my mom gets over her new surgery, I am considering a part time job. When the H do I have time for that!? I have no dang idea. As it is, it's a struggle to clean my house, do laundry, keep up with kids stuff, homework, and work! I am crazy I tell you....simply MAD.
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say HI and I haven't forgotten about my blog :)

Pathetic <----hangs head in shame..
Haven't blogged in a while. Bad bad me! Things have been so crazy busy it seems. Finally got a little break this past weekend. No football (yay), no work, or school. We didn't have much $, but we had love. (Sounds like a sad little country song, huh?) It was a nice break although I did still have homework. Boo!
Football season is almost over & the holidays are around the corner. I am now down 100lbs! Crazy I tell you! I tried on some size 10 jeans yesterday and they fit! I might actually wear them in public one day (if that muffin top goes away! boo!) but hey-they fit and they fit properly. No jumping up and down or anything! That is what I call a NSV(non scale victory in case you don't know!)
Halloween is almost here & I think I will do a repeat (but better) of last year's 80's chick! Lace gloves, big hair bow, pearls, leg warmers, oversized sweat shirt maybe. Not sure what my boys will be, but something with a mask. How fun! Not! I need a little. The big boys aren't into the Halloweens of old :( :( they are growing up far too fast. Maybe a trip to the Goodwill is in order.
I am going to do a Turkey day challenge (I am the only member of this challenge btw..lol) but anyone is welcome to join! Christmas pics will be coming up soon and I have to look fabulous!!!! (and I will be purchasing a slimmer tanktop sort of thing, I hate getting pics back and seeing bumps here and there).
Anyway-the challenge is to lose 10lbs by 11/24. So, that's a month from now! Wow!!! I better get on the exercise train and quick! I think that is going to be the key to these last 20-25lbs!
Well, ciao for now! I will try to update once a week on my challenge! I may even do some scale pics : )

Fall is upon us!
Well, kind of anyway. Around these parts, it can be 50 degrees today and 103 tomorrow! Gotta love Oklahoma.
As you can tell, I haven't updated here in a while. Not much exciting going on, actually its down right depressing at times. My car has been being "fixed" for the past 3 weeks. I just "heard" today that the transmission needs to be fixed. So, on top of the previous $1000 I have spent-it may be another $1400 or so. Ugh! It's not like I have places to be or anything between work, grocery shopping, bill paying, football games/practice,etc! I HATE not having transportation, like w/a passion. Its unnerving.
Weight loss-I am down 92lbs right and a little frustrated. I just want to hit that 100. But, I can tell you right now that once I hit 100...there will be another illusive need to get to some other magical number. The bottom line that I want people to know is that once you lose weight, you must come to terms w/other issues in your life. I use to blame EVERYTHING on my weight...not being able to keep up with stuff-must be my weight... I am needing to get to the Dr. to discuss my potential ADD (self) diagnosis & possible solutions. But I need a car to do that...ugh.
Concentrating on eating low carb right now, it's the only way I will ever see -120.
I really need to begin counseling, but again no car + that can get expensive. I am just working on trying to work out more for now. I will see if that helps my moods any.
That is about it for now. Nothin too exciting at all! I wish I had something more positive to add.

The Worst
I'm pretty much the worst blogger of all time...(imagine Napoleon Dynamite saying that lol)
Things have just.not.been. going my way lately. *SIGH*
Car-I want to roll it off a cliff right about now. After a summer full of car issues (and about $1000), I am about 95% sure I am going to have to buy a new one. I really don't wanna. As much as I want a new shiny, pretty car-one with more room that mine would be great-I don't WANNA car payment. DAVE SAYS its stupid. And I believe him. I love that guy although sometimes I feel as though I can't see how to continue w/his plan...It's very frustrating to be a single mom of two who needs to be able to get back and forth to work, school stuff, football stuff, etc. It makes my skin crawl to depend on others for transportation. Grrrrrr.
ADD-Yes, this is actually the name of this blog. Obviously, procrastination is a symptom with I know very, very, very well. I need to seek treatment for this issue. Of course, I keep putting it off...LOL TYPICAL! I have done the surveys and I am 99.99999999% sure I have it! I hate to think of going through life underachieving, so I really need to call my PCP and make an appt. Having a confirmation of this & a treatment plan could make all the difference in the world.
I did paint a few things this weekend. I need to get a new camera though so I can post pics. My phone just doesn't have the best camera on it.. boo. One of these sweet days, I will bite the I-Phone bullet. I want one, but right now a car sounds like more of a priority! :)
Weight loss-I am very close to the 90lb club! If I could stay ON PLAN that would be amazing. I attempted Atkins induction for a couple of days, then dove face 1st into a couple cupcakes....emotional eating is what its called, and my emotions lurve them some carbs. *Double sigh* I need an a** whopping. I have to ask myself, do you really want to make goal?
Sometimes I feel like I am never going to make goal. Then I have to tell myself-you never thought you would make it this far either. Get a grip! I also have a major problem w/feeling like my life hasn't changed AS MUCH as I thought it would. I still have the same job, same bills, same responsibilities, the same insecurities (although some of them have changed since surgery), I'm still not married...I feel somewhat "held back" but I don't know why? It's so frustrating. People need to realize that WLS doesn't change your life. It just changes your pant size-and the rest is up to you. And even your pant size won't change unless you follow the plan.
This entry kinda feels like a Debbie Downer post. But such is life. Sometimes your up & sometimes your down. ;-)

Hump Day!
Good gosh I suck at this blogging thing. Sorry to my 5 followers lol. I have neglected my poor lil blog for a solid 2 weeks :( how can I ever make it up?!
Anyway, so many things to talk about so little time. I will try to break it up into sections.
Vacation-It went great & my son turned 14 :( and had a good birthday (I hope!) until we drove home and got in a wreck in Texas booooo. We went to Sea World-it was great BUT super hot & super duper expensive. I'm now ready to start preparing for Disney :)
Back to school-we are about 85% ready for back to school :( I hate that I am going to have a Freshmen and a 4th grader. Where did the time go!? Why do I no longer have babies!? *sigh* They need haircuts & shoes at this point. Thank God they won't be sitting at home all day watching TV and playing PS3. I just feel like they should be doing something more productive, but the truth is 1. It's summer! 2. It's almost over 3. I'm not home, so how I can I reallly make them do something productive, I sure wasn't productive during my summers (well, I was more than they are-but really didn't have a schedule or things I had to do besides keep the house clean til mom got home) so, let them be lazy for while-it's almost over! :)
Electric bills-SUCK!!!! We have been having triple digit weather. My dear, dear, dear 14 y/o took it upon himself to change the thermostat from AUTO to ON for a week. This cost me almost $200 for ONE week of electricity. YES, he is still alive but he is now broke (yes, this mean mama took his $40)
Weight loss-I am down to 193. I am sick of the 90s but grateful at the same time. A year ago, I wouldn't have imagined I would be under 200. I def feel like the losses have slowed, but I also notice that when I am exercising and keeping my carb intake low-it picks up and then some! Love my sleeve :)
New products- Recently, I have decided I need to branch out and try products to make it easier to reach my protein goal (60). 3 products I have tried:
Oh Yeah! protein shake (Strawberries n Cream)-one word describes this AMAZING!!! And 32 g of protein. Now, it is expensive, but this is one case where you totally get what you pay for :) It tasted like strawberry quick (sp?) Yum yum yum!
Jay Robb protein powder-Now this one I had tried before (years ago, way before surgery during one of my Low carb phases)-it is also quite pricey. It is very high quality protein and more "natural" than some. They use Stevia which is better for us (as in not a man made sugar substitute-more like real sugar). The only thing about Stevia, is it can be a little on the bitter side. I tried the Pina Colada flavor. It was pretty good. It is also pretty high in protein (25g) for a packet. I mixed w/skim milk (which I am on the fence about milk. I like the added protein, but 18 carbs!? for milk and I don't even LIKE milk ewww but it adds 13g protein to the shake). I know some wls patient's are not carbaphobes, but I know me and I know that carbs do not like me pre-wls or post-wls. I wish this were not the case, but it just is. Anyway, I'm getting off the subject here (hence the name of this blog...ADD!). The shakes are definately tolerable, even tastey. I just wish I didn't taste the bitterness of the Stevia... :( I may keep a few packets of these at work for a quick emergency lunch, but not sure that I will invest in a large quantities.
PowerCrunch bars-Yum,yum,yummy!!!! OMG, I could def see these becoming a problem if I buy too many. I don't have one in front of me, to give you #'s...I bought the peanut butter creme & the cookies and cream! WOW! Knock your socks off good. I believe they are 10 carbs, 13-14g of protein (I double checked and this is correct). They really are bomb.com people! They are a little pricey, so I don't think I will be buying large quantities...maybe a couple here and there.
School- Ok, this girl hates math. No, really, really really HATES it. It is so not my cup of tea. My current class is Business Math and TBH I am really hanging on my the skin of my teeth! It's a 5 wk class, and this is week 5. I hope I make it out alive and that I pass *starts praying for mercy*
Apartment life-I'm so sick of my home as it is right now. It desperately needs some assistance by way of decluttering and decorating. I have several items needing paint right now. I bought a cute little side table at a garage sale last week for $2.50 (LOVE) it's going to be awesome. I think he is going to be black and is going to go in my oldest son's room. I have also decided that spending crap loads of $ on furniture is not going to happen in my home-probably ever. Maybe a couch when I buy a home. I would much rather buy quality, real wood, old school furniture on the CHEAP and just make it fabulous on my own. I have been procrastinating in this area b/c I am a perfectionist and I don't want it to look crappy. But, I have to take some chances. So, my goal is to make it to home depot w/my mom this week or weekend to buy all the stuff I need. I have quite a collection of Krylon spray paint & it needs to be put to use! I will be adding pics as I complete projects, but don't expect anything magical :) I am a newbie!
Well, I'm sure I could bore you w/more mundane areas of my life, but I will end this now! I hope between homework, housework, projects, football, back to school, work, etc I can do better! Have a fabulous week.
